About the company
ERA Group is a division of the Turkish company GUNAY EXPORT LOGISTIC TRADE AND INDUSTRY LIMITED COMPANY. The company specializes in producing a wide range of ventilation equipment. This includes domestic and commercial fans, ventilation grilles, air handling units, diffusers, anemostats, plastic ducting systems, flexible ducting, and decorative screens.
As a full-cycle company, ERA Group handles every stage of the process, from product development and manufacturing to storage and global shipping. Their products reach over 60 countries, with a sales network that includes Ireland and Turkey, Finland and Kuwait, as well as the eastern regions of Russia.
Project goals and objectives
In 2023, ERA Group’s management recognized the need to replace their existing local internal accounting systems as they were functionally limited. They chose 1C:ERP as a unified, integrated accounting solution to support their rapidly growing international business operations. This new system streamlined accounting processes and also provided multilingual functionality. The ability to operate in both Russian and Turkish was crucial for the company’s expansive operational reach.
Major tasks included:
- Covering production planning and reflecting detailed technological charts.
- Automating the formation of material resource needs.
- Ensuring operational tracking of warehouse balances and movements.
- Accurately reflecting production costs.
- Managing receivables and payables efficiently.
- Developing and implementing a multi-currency accounting system for financial transactions in various currencies.
- Creating a multilingual interface (Russian, Turkish, English).
- Standardizing the accounting process with a template for accounts.
Deployment and Implementation
The project was implemented as follows:
- Development of Normative Reference Information (NRI). Established rules for managing normative & informative references and normalized existing data in historical systems. Collaborated with client representatives to define approaches and responsibilities for updating the Normative Reference Information (NRI). Users then normalized NIR in historical systems according to these rules.
- Data Migration. Normalized data was transferred from historical systems to the new system, including initial material balances, finished products (GP), and account reconciliations.
- Demonstrations and Training. The team conducted demonstrations of end-to-end examples based on established company processes, which helped users understand data reflection. Provided training, system configuration, testing, and support during the rollout.
Project Results
Templates were configured for accounting, improving accuracy, speeding up data processing, and enhancing decision-making.
The client gained a comprehensive accounting system that automated sales, procurement, settlements, and order management through a multilingual interface.
